Giving Back in Skid Row

Intro Segment

This proposal is for the creation of an incredible mini documentary video about Hollywood Grooming’s event in Skid Row: Helping those in need, both animals and people.

Call notes with Chuck:

  • Showcase the program offering free vaccines, food and grooming

  • Showcase the makeover of homeless dogs

This is a mini documentary film showing that homeless people are passionate about their pets - and do care about them very much.

Production Elements

  • Cameras: Sony a7M3 full frame mirrorless, GoPro Hero 7, Panasonic P900 as backup

  • Lenses: Sony 24-240mm, Sony 16-35mm

  • Stabilizers: Zhyiun Weebill S for Sony if possible, Hohem iSteady Pro 2 for GoPro

  • Mics: Rode Wireless Go Pro for interviews and statements, shotgun mic for everything else

  • Misc: Monopod, Tripod

  • Crew: Me and possibly one assistant to help conduct the homeless interviews/statements

  • You get my personal passion, all in on this project. As well as the full creative efforts of my team back home that helps with the post production and video finishing process

The proposals we create are one price. It includes all involved personnel and equipment. That way there is no surprises or randomly increased costs.

Next Steps

Next step would be to discuss on questions you may have. From there if we feel this would be a great fit, then we would schedule the interview. I would also start drafting the questions for the interview.

Final Deliverables

  • Editorial control: One (1) round of changes to the video (more edits for additional costs).

  • The final deliverable of this project will be a mini documentary video from 1 to 15 minutes of length (to be determined).

  • The video will be available in Full HD format (1920x1080 px). Perfect for social channels like Facebook, YouTube, IGTV, etc. Or for embedding on a Website.

  • Payment is due 10 days after delivering our initial version of the video.


 

How do I work

Unlike a commercial video, a documentary isn't staged. I film what's there and show it in the best possible way.

Mostly I'm filming alone. At times I bring an assistant or second camera operator. But I keep my team as small as possible - authenticity is key.
