René von Gunten: “My Story”

Documentaries are fascinating because they give us insights into things that we’d otherwise have very limited exposure to.
— René von Gunten

I was always drawn out into the world, to travel, explore and discover the unknown. Until a cardiac event put an end to the adventure.

Using all the willpower and perseverance I could muster, I claimed back my health – and became a successful nutrition coach in Hollywood.

As I had invested a lot of time, energy, and money in my nutrition practice, the logical thing would have been to further focus on my career as a nutritionist.

But deep in my heart, I carried another true passion:

I am fascinated by people’s stories.

“I make videos and films about people who do things differently. It’s really inspiring.”

René von Gunten | Cinematographer, DP

People who are not afraid to try new things, explore the unknown, poke around, question current beliefs and turn things upside down. My life’s dream is to tell their stories so that you and I can learn from them.

That’s why I started all over again as a documentary filmmaker.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.
— N. D. Walsch
